It is with heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our beloved child, Mason Leonard Avery, who was taken too soon on October 22, 2024 at the tender age of 12. He brought immeasurable joy and light to our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile, and boundless curiosity. Mason was a beacon of kindness and a gentle soul that touched all that knew him. His laughter echoed through our lives, a melody of happiness that will forever resonate in our hearts and memories.
Mason was passionate for all things space and couldn’t wait to be soaring among the stars. Mason had dreams and aspirations of joining NASA and was always striving to find information he did not know. His charisma, self drive, and wit put him on an exhilarating path to reach all things he could imagine. Mason was a Warrior in life and will forever be our ray of sunshine.
Mason is survived by his parents Meg Hirsch and Chris Avery and brothers, Ayden Avery, and Collier Avery, grandparents David Hirsch and Nancy Ackerman-Hirsch, Cynthia Avery and Kevin Avery Sr., Elsa and Milton Hirsch, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Please join the family in the celebration of Mason on Friday, October 25th, 2024 graveside at Riverdale Cemetery at 10:30am followed by a memorial service at Temple Israel, 1617 Wildwood Ave., Columbus, Georgia 31906.
