Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Riverdale Cemetery with Reverend Mike Reeves officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Miss. Timmons was born March 2, 1917 in Camilla, GA, daughter of the late Ezra and Frances M. Sellers Timmons. She was a resident of Columbus for over 70 years and was a textile worker for the Bibb Manufacturing Company for 38 years.
In addition to her parents, Miss. Timmons was preceded in death by her four brothers, Harmon Timmons, Horace Timmons, Henry Timmons, and Jason Timmons; her three sisters, Etoy Trickey, Mae Chastain, and Annie “Doll” Portivant.
