OBITUARY

Megan Renee Dry

September 10, 1998September 29, 2019

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Heaven gained another angel, Megan Renee Dry. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin and a great joy and comfort to be around. Megan touched so many lives through her angelic voice and songs.

Megan was born on September 10, 1998 to Tammy and Phillip Dry; she was the sister of Joseph Farrow and Michael Dry. Megan loved music and especially children. She had a passion for taking care of children and was known for soothing and comforting the fussiest children.

Megan’s love of music and singing was well known at her church, Evangel Temple where she would often sing. She had a passion for writing songs, one of her songs she had copyrighted at a young age. Megan was a down to earth young lady who loved being with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and especially loved her.

Megan leaves her legacy to be cherished by her mom, Tammy Dry; her brothers: Joseph Farrow and his wife Maranda and Michael Dry; her maternal grandmother, Virginia Seamster; her paternal grandparents: Johnny and Margie Dry; her aunt Michelle Kipp and her husband Roger; her uncles: Jonathan Gaver, Darrin Seamster and his wife Stefanie; her uncle J.J. Dry and his wife Joanne; her uncle Matthew Dry; her Aunt Pam Dry; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Megan’s life will be held at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5350 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, Georgia 31904 on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Paul Thomas, Pastor Bud Rupel, Pastor Johnny Mendoza and Music Minister Patrick Reeves officiating.

God has chosen to take you sooner then later and only he knows why he needed you there now to be one of his Angels. I do have memories even though we live far, I recall our conversations on the phone, how your Mom would tell me all about you and how she made me laugh and smile when she did. I will always remember how you sang over the phone to me and that angelic voice always brought tears to my eye's the same way as when your Mom sang to me always touched my deepest part of my soul and my heart. We laughed and even talked about how much you wanted to come to New York and visit during the winter holiday season, I so looked forward to having you guys here. Although we did not have the chance to fill that wish of us sharing the time together, I will always carry the memory of you with me. This poem is YOU If I knew anything at the moment I read it, I knew it was you.

Shine Bright, Shine Strong you Beautiful & Loving Child as you will be Forever missed, Forever Loved.
Rest in Eternal Peace

This was a small moment captured in a sleepover from middle school where Megan, Mikey and I were all making a bunch of silly videos.
