Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2:00pm, in Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, 5-7 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia.
Mr. Bodnar was born on September 9, 1924 in Mt. Union, Pennsylvania to the late John and Anna Bodnar. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bodnar was preceded in death by his wife Nadine F. Bodnar and a daughter-in-law, Shery K. Bodnar. He served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II, and the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons: Robert Bodnar and Michael John Bodnar, Jr., one brother: George Bodnar, two sisters: Helen Komir and Mary Cassatte, two grandchildren: Amy (Rob) Marion and Kerry (Tommy) Evans, four great-grandchildren: John Michael Marion, Rob Marion, III, Kynsley Evans, and Raelyn Evans.
