
Myrlene Frith, 93, of Columbus, GA, passed away May 24, 2015 at Canterbury Nursing in Phenix City, AL. Mrs. Frith was born September 10, 1921 in Graceville, FL, to her late parents Alto and Nona McIntosh Clark. She was a member, and past youth Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church in Columbus. Ms. Myrlene‘s passion was her family. She loved to cook, and have them over as much as possible. After retiring from West Point Pepperall, she continued to work as a Greeter at Wal-Mart until the age of 80 when her health began to decline.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 6:00- 8:00 pm in the Wynnton Room of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will be in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Thursday, May 28, at 11:00 am followed by a private interment with Reverend Bill Mayhew officiating.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Frith was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Frith; eight brothers and sisters; a daughter, Shirley McDonald of Columbus, GA; and a granddaughter, Tammy Bowers of Columbus, GA. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Bennett of Phenix City, AL; her son, Larry (Margie) Frith of Mansfield, GA; four grandchildren, Kristy (Kyle) Froom, Kelli (Scott) Walker, both of Mansfield, GA, Jeff (Kimberly) Blocker of Smiths Station, AL, and Tracy (Scott) Mayhew of Ellerslie, GA; eight great grandchildren, Blake, Alexis, Cody, McKenzie, Owen, Hunter, Jules, and Bryce; many nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
