Gayle was born in Dothan, AL on November 24, 1947; the daughter of James Edward Newsome and Margaret Juanita Shaw Newsome. She graduated from Jordan High School and became a beautician. She loved entertaining others and would do all kinds of crazy things to get a laugh. She cherished her friends, enjoyed visiting with them, and going out to eat. She taught her children many things including integrity, compassion, independence, and perseverance.

Aunt Gayle was so special to me! I will never forget the summer we got to spend with you guys, she took us swimming, to church , I even remember the play that the kids group was putting on. I always loved her smile and loving heart! I wish we could have spent more time together but living on the other side of the states we couldn't. I love you Tammy and Tracie!

I remember Gail from my childhood friend Tammy. She use to cut our hair when we were kids and my Mom enjoyed her company while she was cutting our hair. She was the most sweetest woman I’ve met and she was always so happy when we were around her. I also remember spending the night over there with Tammy and was busy being a nurse then. I love you guys and am praying for y’all through this!! ❤️🙏🏻💕
