Odelle Morrison Boatner passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the age of 90. She was born in Columbus, Georgia on July 7, 1933 to the late Tommie Hendricks Morrison and John Wylie Morrison. She was married to the late Charles Raymond Boatner for over 60 years. Odelle worked for many years in the textile industry, Swift Mills being one of her latest employers before her retirement. She loved her family and enjoyed going shopping. Odelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved her.
She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her son, Richard Boatner of Lake Wales, Florida; her daughter-in-law Mary Boatner of Tallassee, Alabama; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Odelle’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia. Her family will visit with friends from 10:00 AM until time of the service in Edgewood Hall. Burial will follow the service in Parkhill Cemetery.
