

She was born in Coffee County, Alabama on November 25, 1927 to the late Augusta “Gussie” Cornela Cauley Green and William Henry Green. She was married to the late Ronald Thomas Belk. Mrs. Ollie worked with Tom’s Foods in Columbus where she was responsible for the making of a variety of their candies to include, peanut bars, coconut slices, and any other candy Tom’s had in stores. She retired after 33 years. Mrs. Ollie was Christian by faith, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to work in her yard tending to her flowers and shrubs. Mrs. Ollie took great pride in her yard. She was also a great cook, most memorable is her fried chicken and sour cream pound cake. She cooked large meals for her family, especially on Sunday after church. She loved to visit Rosehill Seafood Restaurant, her favorite place to eat out. Mrs. Ollie will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved her. She was blessed beyond measure with family members of six generations.
She is survived by her daughters: Leilani Holland and Edwina Watford; ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. Mrs. Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Thomas Belk; daughters: Sondra Brown and Kathy Morrison; parents Gussie and William Green; sisters: Madie Kelley and Myrtle Olds; and brothers: Kater Green, Lester Green, Edward Green, David Green, and Leroy Green.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday February 19, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Jim Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery after the service.
