Patsy Clegg Kimbrough, 66, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Luke United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, with Rev. Robert Beckum and Rev. Cindy Cox Garrard officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Kimbrough was born May 6, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Benjamin and Vivian Thomas. She was a 1965 graduate of Jordan High School and worked with Phenix Federal Savings & Loan for 12 years. Patsy was a member of St. Luke UMC and also of the “Seekers” Sunday School class. She was also active in the Historic District Preservation Society. Patsy loved antiques and was an avid collector of angels.

Survivors include her husband, Jay Kimbrough of Columbus, GA; three sons, Chris Clegg and his wife, Brandi of Newsite, AL, Matthew Clegg of Columbus, GA and Jeffery Kimbrough of Sacramento, CA; three grandchildren, Taylor Clegg, Trey Jones and Alex Kimbrough; and a brother, Darrell Thomas of Charlotte, NC.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke UMC, Samaritan Fund, PO Box 867, Columbus, GA 31902.
