Percy "Jack" Reed

Percy Lee “Jack” Reed, 89 of Ellerslie, GA went to be with the Lord Thursday September 11, 2014. Jack was born April 26, 1925 in Parsons, WV to the late Lonnie and Mona McCauley Reed. He was a WW II Navy Veteran. Mr. Reed retired from Cobb County School District where he worked as a Maintenance Man. He was a member of The American Legion in Cataula, and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ellerslie. Mr. Reed had a passion for his family, and loved to go camping, play golf, and take Casino trips.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2014 5:00- 7:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler- Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM in The Mill Room of Striffler- Hamby, followed by a Committal at Parkhill Cemetery, with Rev. Tommy Henschel and Rev. Ed Smith officiating.

Percy Lee "Jack"Reed is survived by his loving wife of 66 years;Virginia Reed of Ellerslie, GA, son; Gregory Lee (Diana) Reed of Columbus, GA, two grandchildren; Michael Lee Reed and Michelle (Dean) Maddox, two great grandchildren; Connor Avery Reed, and Kaylan Nicole Maddox.
