I worked with Phil 20 years ago at Barnett Bank in Columbus. He was as solid a friend and good American as I have ever met. His quick wit always made me smile! God Bless.

I worked with Phil, 25 years ago at Barnett Bank and then moved back to New England.  I was thinking of all the great people I worked with and searched their names in Columbus, GA.  I was so sad when I saw this sad news.  Phil was a great person and colleague.  My heart goes out to his family.  Know that it was a honor to work with him.   Patricia MacDonald

Phil was a long time friend and worked for and with me at Barnett Bank and Community Bank & Trust.  He always contributed strongly and meaningfully to the success of our accomplishments.  He was always a Marine!  We shall miss him greatly, but he is in a better place and we shall see him again.  My wife and I extend our condolences to Melinda and the family.

God proved he could only take the best. We are praying for his family. If you all ever need anything dont hesitate to ask
