Quoi worked as a fisherman, a life shaped by steady effort and quiet perseverance. In all he did, he carried himself with a calm, laid-back presence—unhurried, composed, and content with the simple rhythms of everyday life. Yet those who knew him best also knew his resolve: when Quoi had made up his mind, he could be stubborn, holding firmly to what he believed and what mattered to him.
He was married to Dieu Nguyen, whom he lovingly called his “Nguoi Yeu.” He especially cherished her and always enjoyed her cooking, finding deep comfort in the warmth of home, good food, and time shared together. They also enjoyed going to the casino together, savoring not just the outings themselves, but the companionship woven through ordinary moments.
Quoi found joy in simple pleasures—playing billiards, watching YouTube, and, above all, spending time and eating with family. He will be remembered for his quiet and calm nature, for the steadfastness that was unmistakably his, and for the love and memories he leaves behind with those closest to him.
Quoi is survived by his wife, Dieu Nguyen; his sons, Huy Nguyen (Kim), Cuong Nguyen (Thanh), and Truc Tran; his daughters, Cindy Nguyen and Elaine Pham (Tan); his grandsons, Collin Lam, Timothy Nguyen, Thomas Nguyen (Issa), Nathan Trieu, Ethan Pham, and Nixon Nguyen; and his granddaughters, Yvonne Lam, Tayler Nguyen, Bailey Nguyen, Victoria Trieu, Emma Pham, and Sophia Nguyen.
