

Randy served in the United States Navy as a signalman from 1971 to 1973 and in the Naval Reserves from 1974 to 1977, earning the national defense service medal. After his military service, Randy graduated from Columbus College with an associate's degree in Business.
Randy was a music lover who had in his collection over 400 vinyl record albums. His love from music lead him into his 25 year career in the retail music industry where he worked as the store manager for Record Bar / Tracks in Peachtree mall. Randy spent the rest of his working days at TSYS as an analyst.
A car enthusiast, Randy had owned several classic cars throughout his life and dreamed of rebuilding one with his son, Ethan.
Fatherhood was the greatest joy in Randy’s life. He was a loving, supportive, encouraging father to his children Ethan and Leslie. He was also known for taking great care of everyone around him and he always put the needs and wellbeing of others ahead of his own.
Randy was a member of Pierce Chapel Global Methodist Church for over 20 years, where he passionately worked with the hospitality team greeting visitors and members.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Emogene Wells, his brother Jerry Wells, his sister Jill Wells Peterson and brother-in-law Dennis Petterson.
Randy is survived by Leslie Wells, Ethan Wells (Sierra), Melissa Wells, Robyn Wells (Gaye) and Peyton Wells, as well as the Peterson and Morris Families.
A celebration of life service for Randy will take place Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Pierce Chapel Global Methodist Church, 5122 Pierce Chapel Rd, Midland, GA 31820. Followed by a family visitation at the church. Randy will be interred at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
