Mrs Burgamy - So sorry I missed the service for Mr Burgamy. Mom thought so much of both of you, me too. You and Mr B are perfect examples of a loving Christian couple, I will always have fond memories of you both from growing up at Southside.

Mr. and Mrs. Burgamy were longtime friends of my mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mureen Marsh (deceased 6/2012) and Chester Marsh. Both families grew up in Southside Baptist Church. He was a wonderful man and person, and seemed to always be around when my husband, Wayne Marsh, and I would visit Columbus, GA. He was present when we dedicated a brick to Chester Marsh, and to my father, Lester Turley, at the Infantry Museum, as he was receiving a brick too. He was present many times at the hospital when things turned life-threatening or critical for Mureen and Chester. He and Mrs. Burgamy were there when our beloved Mother, Mureen, passed away this past summer. He is a military "hero" and a compassionate friend "hero". We are blessed to have known Mr. Burgamy and our sympathy goes out to his wife, Ethel, and his sons and their families.
