

Richard ‘Rick’ Wayne Andrews, 76, of Fortson, Georgia, passed away on May 18, 2026. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, Rick was known for his faith, strength of character, and his kindness.
Born on January 6, 1950, in Columbus, Georgia, Rick lived a life marked by hard work, deep faith, and unwavering love for the people around him. He was the kind of man who showed up — with a helping hand, a good story, or a quiet word of encouragement when it was needed most.
Rick is survived by his wife, Debra. They were married for 52 years. He is also survived by his children Jonathan Andrews, Jeremy Andrews, Elizabeth Henkelman (Bryan), Adrianne Shippey (Playol), Stephanie McPherson (Bruce) and Zachary Andrews (Jordan); his sixteen grandchildren; and his siblings Reba (Jim), Randy, Melinda, Chris and John (Leslie). He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Wayne Andrews Sr. and Dorothy Mildred Stough.
Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor, his warmth, and the way he made others feel seen and supported. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the countless lives he touched.
A service to honor Rick’s life will be held at 10am on June 13, 2026, at Grace Community Church 4333 Fortson Rd, Fortson, Georgia 31808. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the man he was and the memories he leaves behind.
