I have memories of Bob from the 70s when he was a biology student assistant at Columbus College. Happily we reconnected about 13 years ago and became friends as contemporaries. I miss him.

Deepest sympathy to Diana and the rest of the family

Diana - I am so sorry for your loss. I wasn't aware of Bob's passing until I drove by and saw the banner outside your driveway. Bob was a good man. I enjoyed the talks we had at dinner. Stay strong, as I know you are. God Bless you and your family. He is watching over you all and smiling at the love that surrounds you.

Diana and family, I was deeply saddened by the loss of my "Uncle Bob". I haven't seen him in a long time, but he was always in my thoughts. Growing up, he and Thena were my saviors. I waited all year for the trip to Georgia to see him. He was a wonderful and unique person.

To All the Family: I am sorry for your loss. I can't imagine.. I remember this whole family being there for our school and individuals. Mr. Best was always a family oriented hard working man.. May God be with y'all! I have lost touch along the way but think of y'all often! Hugs!

Diana and the Best family. I've just heard about Bob passing away.

Bob and I went to Hardaway together and palled around in the late 60's. I knew his Mom, Dad, Joe, and Dick and his incredible grandmother.

We drifted apart on similar but divergent paths. A year or two we communicated again through the internet and spoke on the phone.

I knew what kind of man Bob was and reading this Guest Book reinforces the love that Bob had for the community and the love that the community had for Bob.

He was one of the best people I've had the honor to know.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

To the Best family. Bob was a man with a big loving heart and he has helped me out tremendously. Regardless if its advice I'm seeking or just someone to talk to and I am grateful to have worked for a man like that. Bob has showed me don't dewel on the past look towards the future. Bob never judged me on my past and for that I am truley grateful.

Diana, I have just returned from out of town and am so sorry to hear this sad news. I met Bob while at The Woodruff Co., but my favorite memory of him is bringing my grandchildren to the Pumpkin Patch and Bob pulling us behind the big tractor! I can't imagine driving past Best Nursery now without thinking about him not being there. My deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of such a wonderful man. May God give you the strength in the days ahead and memories to cherish always, Love, Barbie

Diana, Little Diana and Matthew,
Joe and I are so deeply sorry for your loss. Though we did not see as much of him as we once did, we considered him to be a dear friend. We will miss him and think of all the good times we shared with all of you. We are here for you. May God Bless you all.
Love, Ann and Joe Tomlinson

To Bob's Family,
I met Bob many years ago while employed with The Woodruff Companies. He and I worked side by side but yet in different aspects of the apartment business. Bob always had time for an encouraging word, a listening ear and a helping hand. There aren't too many Real Men like Bob Best. His love for God, his family and life was evident everytime you came in contact with him. What a wonderful legacy. May the wonderful and loving memories help you in the most difficult days ahead. I felt blessed to have been able to call Bob Best my friend.
