Bob was born May 21, 1924 in Bastrop, LA the son of the late John Clark and Lillian Woods Moore. At the age of 17 his mother signed papers that allowed him to join the Army during World War II. At the end of the war he came home and enrolled at Louisiana Tech to study engineering. While there, Louisiana had a rare snow storm. A pretty coed saw him and decided to push him over in the snow. That coed would end up being the love of his life… Snookie. Following their marriage and graduation, Bob went to work for Cities Service Oil Company in Charlotte, NC. During his career he completed the Executive Management program at Harvard University. After 35 years he retired from Cities Service Oil Company as Vice President of Public Affairs.
Bob was a Christian and avid reader. He encouraged others to look deep into the Scriptures while building a strong faith. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Columbus. Throughout his life he served the Lord by being a deacon at many Baptist churches. He was a wonderful husband, father, father in law, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His love and generosity knew no bounds when it came to his family and friends. He was an incredible man who will be missed by many.
