It was always a special moment when Roby surprised the children at Christmas. He would sneak in with his big HO, HO, HO and the children would go running. I believe most of our grandchildren had at least one photo sitting in Roby's lap. There was a special place in Roby's heart for the children. He found his gift of playing Santa in a life full of Christmas parties and we will always treasure the gift that he shared. He would find his way to the cabin and Don would pick pears for him as they talked about the state of life and politics. We had grown close in the last months and we talked often. We shared his memories and his regrets. I am glad we had that time together. He will be missed. Pam
