Robert Jackson Jones, 68, of Columbus, GA passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Columbus Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at Beallwood Baptist Church on Friday, September 19, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mr. Jones, son of the late John William Cullen Jones and Violet Lea Attaway Jones, was born in Eastman, GA on March 21, 1947. He worked for himself as a General Contractor and attended Beallwod Baptist Church. Mr. Jones loves being outdoors, either watching nature or working in the yard, enjoyed watching NASCAR and Auburn University football. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Violet A. Jones of Columbus, GA; sons Doni Lee (Karla) of Eagle River, AK, Dale Jackson (Jennifer) of Columbus, GA and Robert Jackson (Shang) of Atlanta, GA; daughter Heather Nicole Ray of Atlanta, GA; brother Randy Jones (Pat) of Columbus, GA; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beallwood Baptist Church, 4650 Veterans Parkway Columbus, GA 31904.
