Robert Allen McAlister

Robert Allen McAlister, age 88, passed away on March 29, 2026. Robert was a resident of Byron, Georgia. Born May 8, 1937, he will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him.

Robert graduated from Central High school, and went on to college obtaining a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green Business University in 1960.

Robert was a CPA and Program Manager for Heidelberg Printing over 20+ years.

He was married to Diane Farmer McAlister for 18 Years. He is survived by his Brother Thomas McAlister (Laurie), Nephew: John McAlister (Tammy), Stepchildren, (Diane’s children): Daryl (Andrea) Forehand, Cindy (Rodney) Turner, and Christopher (Stephanie) Smith. Grandchildren: Chad, Ana, Joey, Mackenzie, Sophie and Elle. Six great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Margret Moore McAlister and Eugene L. McAlister, Wife: Diane Farmer McAlister, Brother: John McAlister.

He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife and family. His grandchildren would always call him “Superman” As he was bigger than life to them. His wife and kids would always find things to make him laugh. He was passionate toward God, his wife, and politics.

Robert was a faithful member of The Assembly @ Warner Robins.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on April 3, 2026, at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
