Robert Earl Moss

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby with burial to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Moss was born on May 2, 1943 in Hartford, Alabama to the late Euna Mae Baxley Moss and John L. Moss. He was a devoted member of the Church of Christ on 31st St. Mr. Moss enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and gardening, sharing his passion of gardening with his children. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Frances Elizabeth Moss. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved him.

He leaves his legacy to his children: Angela Spivey, Jimmy Moss (Lisa), John Moss, and Brian Moss (Rebecca); his brothers and sisters: Charlie Mack Moss (Merle), Roger Moss (Shirley), Johnny Ray Moss (Ann), Janice Godwin (Ray), Shirley Ann Gwin, and Charlotte Jones (Thomas); grandchildren: Rachel Tindell (Paul), Bryce Moss, Samatha Spivey, Mackenzie Norris, Bradley Moss, Gavin Moss, R.J. Norris, Katlyn Moss, and Aiden Moss; great-grandchildren: Taylor Tindell, Sara Tindell, and Mallory Tindell; sisters-in-law, Gloria Gatewood (Terry) and Sarah Smith; brother-in-law, Robert Fordham (Mary); cousin Chasity Young; special friends, Allison Mobley, Valerie Profitt, and Cody Griffin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and brothers and sisters in Christ to cherish his memory.
