Robert was born in Nashua, New Hampshire. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Gerry, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, and served for four years. His career later led him to Prudential Insurance, beginning in Jacksonville, where he developed sales training manuals for agents that are still in use today. He earned the professional designation of CLU.
His work took him to Tallahassee, Florida; Louisville, Kentucky; and Columbus, Georgia, where he retired as a District Manager after a successful 32-year career. During his tenure, he received numerous corporate awards. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife on many overseas trips. He especially loved planning their visits to Las Vegas, attending shows, and trying his luck at the penny slots. Above all, he cherished time with his family—whether for holidays, birthdays, or simply being together.
Robert was a faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church for 49 years. He was active in parish life, serving on the Parish Council and Finance Council, and as an usher. He had a deep passion for sharing his faith and taught Sunday school for nearly 30 years, helping prepare students for Confirmation.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years, whose constant care, grace, love, and patience sustained him throughout his life. From their first “I do,” they built a life together rooted in faith and family—a legacy that will endure for generations.
He also leaves behind his children: Rick Seguin (Debbie), Cathey Turner, Mark Seguin (Gillian), and Paul Seguin (Tonya), and his son-in-law, Greg Jasinski. He was known simply as “Grandpa” to his grandchildren: David Seguin (Kelly), Jennifer Mallory (Drew), Jonathan Jasinski (Natalie), Kyle Jasinski, Kevin Jasinski, Clark Turner (Lori), Ashley Jones (Martin), D. Abbott Turner III (Kayla), Brooke Armstrong (Will), Riley Seguin, Kendell Seguin, Matthew Seguin, Justin Seguin (Cassie), and Madison Alfano (Max); and great-grandchildren: Aiden Seguin, Anna Mallory, Ben Mallory, Bella Jasinski, Max Jasinski, Delaney Turner, Julie Turner, Annalisa Turner, D. Abbott Turner IV, Miles Jones, Park Jones, and Sutton Seguin.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Agnes Seguin; his daughter, Vickey Jasinski; his son-in-law, D. Abbott Turner II; and his granddaughter-in-law, Cassie Seguin.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Cir, Columbus, GA 31907, US, on May 4, 2026, at 10:00 am; a private family interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen
