Robert Daniel Wilson Sr.

He was born on January 21, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Lawrence and Frances Wilson. Dannie attended Jordan High School in Columbus before graduating in 1964. He dedicated 30 years to the Georgia Department of Revenue before his retirement.

Dannie was in a dedicated partnership with his significant other, Barbara Jean Busby Williams, before her passing in 2014. He was the father of one daughter, one son, three step-children.

Dannie enjoyed spending time at Mexico Beach in Florida, driving his camaro in his free time, and spending time with people.

He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Wilson Jr. (1998), Barbara Busby Williams (2014), and his parents Frances Louise and Lawrence Wilson.

Dannie is survived by his daughter Rhonda Timmons, stepdaughter Stephanie Patterson (Greg), stepsons Phillip Williams (Carla) and Matthew Williams (Ellen), his sister Kathleen Haines (Hal), grandchildren Shannon Wilson and Kevin James Dinsmore, as well as several step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life service for Dannie will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Fisher Chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, 31907.

Dannie will be laid to rest at Parkhill Cemetery, located at 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA, 31907.
