Rose was born on April 17, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Kathleen Brady Tully and William Joseph Tully.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Joseph Tully and his wife Helen Tully of Freehold, New Jersey; nieces Kathleen Rose, Elizabeth Gardener, and Maura Tully, and her nephews, William Tully, Timothy Tully, Thomas Tully. Five grand nephews, two grand nieces and one great grand nephew.
For eighteen years Rose was a member of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity, in which she worked as both a teacher and school principal at St. Joseph's School Holy Trinity, Alabama. Then after she moved to Columbus, Georgia, for twenty-five years, Rose served as a teacher at the Stower Elementary School in Fort Benning, Georgia. Rose enjoyed traveling, exploring nature and photography. She was also very interested in the welfare of animals. Rose was dedicated to her church, her vocation as a teacher and to her family and friends.
A Rosary will be said on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 5:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with visitation following until 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 320 12th Street, Columbus, Georgia 31901. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
