Roy Wells Jernigan

Roy was born on November 18, 1952, in Columbus, Georgia to Ernest L. Jernigan and Marjorie Evelyn Wells. Roy was a graduate of Kendrick High School in Columbus and later attended Columbus Technical College, where he became a Certified Surgical Technologist. After graduation, Roy worked for many years as a surgical tech at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Raymond Jernigan and his sister, Lavonda (Bonnie) McNeese.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters, Wanda J. Good (Mike) and Deborah K. Jernigan; as well as many special nieces and nephews.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.
