Columbus, GA- Ruby M. Morales, 86, of Columbus, Georgia died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Columbus.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 11, 2014 at Fort Benning Main Post Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating according to Striffler - Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Morales was born December 25, 1926 in Louisa County, VA, daughter of the late Charles Edward Mallory and the late Lucy Maude Kuper Mallory.

Mrs. Morales grew up in Louisa, VA and upon graduation went to Richmond, VA. During the war, she met her future husband, Mariano Morales, at the USO Club. They married and later their daughter Vicki was born. They arrived at Fort Benning in the 50's.

Mrs. Morales had been a realtor since the early 60's when very few women were in real estate. She started with Carter Realty, and was with Perry Burrus Realty, then Turman Realty. She continued in real estate until her death, having sold homes up to the 3rd generation of clients, and was a long time member of the Columbus Board of Realtors.

She and her husband Mario loved to entertain and play bridge. She supported the Springer Theatre and was a true friend, well loved, and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mario. Survivors include her daughter Victoria Mallory Lambert (Mark) of Pawling, N.Y.; granddaughter, Ramona M. Lambert of Ridgefield, Conn.; two sisters, Kathryn M. Hamilton of Glen Allen, VA, and Ramona M. Diggs of Louisa, VA; a brother, Edward K. Mallory of Louisa, VA; many other family and friends
