The family will have a small, private Celebration of Life Memorial to honor her Life.
She is survived by husband SFC (Ret.) Robert Lee Moore, sons; Robert D. Moore of Box Springs, GA. Harvey Moore (Lisa) ) of Phenix City, AL, and James Moore of Brooklyn, NY, daughters; Terry Folds (Jack) of Phenix City, AL , Sherry Ginn (Steve) of Phenix City, AL, and Karen Moore of Rogersville, TN, grandchildren; Rachel Elizabeth Moore, Delma Cannon, Joshua Folds, Nickie Lopez, Tony Welch, Bradley Welch, Kelly Stewart, Adam Thompson, Mark Thompson, Alyssa Moore, Aubree Moore, Arianna Stanley, Bella Stanley, Chelsea Stanley, and Josh Moore, and 9 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Stewart, and daughter in-law Jennifer Kay Moore.
Ruth had many attributes that allowed her to maintain her family even in difficult times of strife. It was almost mandatory at each holiday and celebration that everyone is in attendance. In her effort to maintain the family bond with her children and their families she prepared a meal that was fit for a king but would feed the small army that she watched over. Those secrets to those wonderful meals will never be duplicated.
She shared traits with each child that bore her presence. She was always there to offer a shoulder to cry on while also sharing her opinion. She would doctor your wound while chastising you for the mistake you made to get hurt. She would always be there to lend a hand for all her family and many of her friends and strangers. There were many times she went without so that someone else would have what they needed.
Ruth had a passion for her yard and flowers that she shared with her husband. She was just as comfortable working outside as she was in the comfort of her own home. After retiring from working in the retail world, she and her husband found a fondness for running their own business in selling to the public via various Flea Markets and thrift stores. After the invention of the internet she developed a skill for selling on eBay. Nothing was quite as exciting as that last few minutes of an auction and watching those bids go up.
As her age finally began to sneak up, her passions began to shift to online gaming which she equally shared with her husband Robert. Much like the teenagers of today, you could find her up in the early hours of the morning playing her favorite online games. In her down time she would sit outside on her porch relaxing and talking with anyone who came to visit.
Although her body and soul may be gone; she will always be with us all. Every act of kindness and love that her children display to others is a testament to the loving role model that she had been. People will benefit from her life in many generations to come. She never had a harsh word about anyone.
