Ruth L Weatherly

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Weatherly was born August 7, 1936 in LaFayette, Alabama to the late Charlie V. Lankford and Irene Simms Lankford. She was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church and a nurse for 45 years. Mrs. Weatherly enjoyed traveling to the beach and being in the mountains. She was an avid reader. Mrs. Weatherly cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Weatherly.

Survivors include her daughters, Claire W. McMahan and her husband, Richard of Seale, AL and Becky Weatherly of Phenix City, AL; two granddaughters, Heather M. Davenport and her husband, Mike and Holly M. Robinson and her husband, Cliff; three great-grandchildren, Noah Richard Shelton, Taylor Grace Shelton and Chloe Hope Davenport; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
