

SFC (Ret) Segundino "Dino" E. Entac, age 85, resident of Columbus, died on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Columbus Medical Center. Mass of Resurrection will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1953 Torch Hill Road, Columbus on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, 11 a.m, with Father Brian LaBurt officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. Rosary will be said at the funeral home on Monday, October 10, 2011, 6 p.m. with the family receiving friends afterwards until 8 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 3-6 p.m.
Mr. Entac, son of the late Luis Fulgocino Entac and Felicidad Eser Entac, was born May 21, 1926 in Bugtong Barcelona Sorsogon, Philippines. He was retired from the U.S. Army where he served his country honorably for over 20 years. During his distinguished military career, he served in the Vietnam Era Conflict and received the Bronze Star Medal; Vietnam Service Medal (w/2 bronze stars); and the Vietnam Campaign Medal (w/60 Device) for his valor and service. Dino was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus; and a member of the Bayanihan of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Lolita C. Entac.
Dino is survived by his wife, Virginia B. Entac of Columbus; two daughters, Susan Entac Foley and her husband LtCol Matthew Foley of Southern Pines, NC and Anna Kristine E. Reyes and her husband Christopher Reyes of Columbus; four sons, Ben Depasopil of San Bernadino, CA, Carlos Depasupil and his wife Judith Depasupil of Atlanta, GA, Daniel C. Entac and his wife Vipakon of Charlotte, NC, and Dino Entac of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters and two brothers, all of the Philippines; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
