On 12 Feb 2026, Sherian Ann Ferguson (nee Wilson), devoted wife of the late George William Ferguson, Jr., beloved mother of Stacy Lyn Long (the late Larry Alvin Long, II) and Nicole Brook Beyer (August Andrew Beyer, IV), beloved grandmother of August Andrew Beyer, V (Kayleigh Chalkowski), William Logan Beyer (Haileigh Blair), and Colton Gage Long (Maria Tereza Bethonico Terra), lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Mrs. Ferguson was the only child of the late CW2 Jess Samuel Wilson, and Mary Catherine Linker, and had resided in Columbus for the past 52 years. She retired from AFLAC in 2011 and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of St. Peter Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with a burial following at Parkhill Cemetery. The visitation will be held one hour prior.
