Shirley Kimbrough Gray

Columbus, GA- Shirley Kimbrough Gray, 79, of Columbus, GA, passed away on April 14, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Kathryn Kimbrough. She is survived by her sister, Judith Wilkinson, two nephews, Bruce Wilkinson (Terri) and Troy Wilkinson (Angela), two great nieces, Laura and Avery, and two great nephews, Zack and Jacob. Shirley graduated from Columbus High School and received a degree in Interior Design at Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale. She lived in Ft. Lauderdale and Jacksonville, FL for many years before returning to Columbus GA in 2006. Shirley was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Columbus. She was a mezzo-contralto opera singer, an artist and a sculptor. The family would like to invite friends to join in a Memorial Service to celebrate Shirley's life on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, with a visitation following the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909 or a charity of your choice.
