Stuart Lee Thomason

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Stuart Lee Thomason, 50 of Columbus, GA, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital following a brief illness. The family will welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 pm, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will start at 3:00 pm followed by interment at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend David Howle and Reverend Andy Merritt officiating.

Stuart was born July 15, 1966 in Columbus, GA to his parents, Dr. Cephas V Thomason, III and Louise Foster Thomason. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1984 where he played Baseball and Tennis. Stuart later graduated from Columbus College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He worked in sales in Real Estate, Pharmaceuticals, and Insurance. Stuart was a member of Cascade Hills Church and loved to Hunt, Fish and play Golf. He was an avid Auburn Fan, very outgoing and had many friends.

Other than his parents, those left to cherish Stuart’s memory are: his daughter, Kaitlyn Knight of Columbus, GA; his son, Lee Knight of Columbus, GA; his sister, Mary (Steve) Haag of Fortson, GA; his brother, Neal (Tina) Thomason of Seale, AL; loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends. Pallbearers are John (BoBo) Kittrell, Barry Berndt, Jeff Waters, Jesse Haag, Ben Haag, Seth Thomason, Bailey Haag, and Micah Hendrick.
