Tamara ‘Tammy’ Hunnicutt Williams, age 54, passed away on February 1, 2025, leaving the world a little dimmer, but her memory shining bright. Born on August 28, 1970, to Thomas Wayne Hunnicutt and Marty Moulton, she leaves behind a legacy of laughter and warm memories.
Tammy was a proud native of Blakely, Georgia, and her love for her hometown and Early County was evident in every conversation. She would charm anyone within earshot with stories of her childhood escapades with her two sisters, Betsy and Cindy, and cherished memories of time spent with her grandparents, the Hunnicutts. Those stories, always delivered with a contagious laugh, will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University, Tammy embarked on a vibrant and fulfilling career. From her early days working with MTV Productions in New York, record labels and musicians to her successful climb up the corporate ladder at AT&T, Tammy infused every endeavor with her unique blend of creativity and determination. She excelled in global marketing, earning accolades and awards for her innovative ideas promoting Apple product launches and releases. She built lasting friendships throughout her career.
Tammy's dedication to her community knew no bounds. Her compassion extended far beyond her local community, reaching out to touch the lives of those in need both near and far. She was a tireless champion for the vulnerable, always seeking ways to offer comfort and support. She collected pajamas for children in hospitals, bringing warmth and a sense of normalcy to their hospital stays. With unwavering passion, she spearheaded the Miss Southern States Relay for Life pageant system, a testament to her creativity and drive, which raised significant funds for cancer research. Tammy possessed a rare and radiant spirit, always seeking to illuminate the lives of others and leave the world a better place than she found it. Her legacy of service will undoubtedly inspire generations to come.
But Tammy's true passion was her family and friends. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, always open for gatherings filled with delicious food, lively conversation, and genuine connection. Her husband, Stan Williams, was the fortunate recipient of countless culinary masterpieces, and her granddaughter, Maggie, held a special place in her heart. Her children, Jacob Wolfe and Monica Bullock, were her world, and she never missed an opportunity to share how proud she was of them. Tammy was also the proud dog mom of Jolene Pearl Hunnicutt Williams, who she loved dearly. Tammy had a gift for making everyone feel loved and cherished, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those she held dear.
