

Funeral services for Mrs. Broadus will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus.
Visitation for Mrs. Broadus will be from 5-7 pm, on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the funeral home.
Tera Joan Broadus was born on March 26, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia to the late William Herbert Akins, Sr., and Adelle Tillman Akins. In addition to her parents Mrs. Broadus was preceded in death by a brother, William Akins, Jr., and a step-son, Richard Ferraro.
Survivors include her husband; Curvis L. Broadus, their children; April Shirley of Pensacola, FL., Tami McMaster of Douglasville, GA., Tera Bourgeois of Pensacola, FA., Victoria Richards of San Antonio, TX., Salvador (Paula) Ferraro, Jr. of Pensacola, FL., Bianca (Mark) Thoeny of Post Falls, ID., and Fay (Paul) Herbert of Pensacola, FL., step-children; Allen L. (Lisa) Broadus of W. Columbia, SC., Dustin M. (Angelia) Broadus of Reno, NV., Lycretia D. Black of Rock Hills, SC., Carlton W. Broadus of W. Columbia, SC., Donnie (Sue) Ferraro of Pensacola, FL., and Christopher Ferraro of Pensacola, FL., 41 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Pauline (Charles) Shaney of Lake Wiley, SC., and Wanda Blalock of Clayton, GA., two brothers; H.L. (Mary) Akins of Clayton, GA., and Jerry Akins of Claxton, GA., and numerous nieces and nephews.
