Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday December 21, 2011 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with burial to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Reverend Jonathan Mc Neese will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Brewer was born December 8, 1941 in Pine Mt. Valley, GA son of the late Nathan Herbert Brewer and Gladys Short Brewer Vinson. He was retired owner and operator of Randy’s Auto Electric for 30 years and a member of Greater Life Baptist Church and volunteered with 4-H in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Denise Brewer, seven children, Thomas Brewer, Jr., Scott Brewer, Linda Heath, Keith Brewer, Loretta Brewer, Daniel Brewer, and Benjamin Horton, six brothers, Herbert Brewer, Sammy Brewer, Lewis Brewer, Johnny Brewer, Paul Vinson and Harold Vinson, three sisters, Sue Heath, Sherry Johnson and Linda Brewer, nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
