Family members will hold a private, intimate service to celebrate his life.
Thomas was born on May 18, 1955, in Frankfurt, Germany to Ira Clayton Cox and Brigitta Weber Cox. He always shared fond memories of Germany with his four daughters. Thomas was very proud of his military career. He served in the Army for 20 years. At one point, he and his father even had the rare opportunity to serve together. He retired as a 1st Sergeant.
Some of Thomas’s favorite things were country music, t-shirts with funny sayings on them (often inappropriate), camping, and spending time with his four daughters and his grandchildren. His proudest accomplishment was his four girls and their children.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Ira Cox, his mother, Brigitta Cox, and his brother, Steve Cox. He is survived by his children, Melissa McCormick (Jeremy), Michelle Morant (Calvin), Bethany Smith (Todd), Jessica Bellinger (John); 11 grandchildren; brother, Robert Cox (Evelyn); and former wife Jutta Cox.
