MSG (Ret.) Thomas K. Dobson, age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Memorial services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be in Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning.
MSG Dobson was born on August 24, 1940 in Sylacauga, AL to the late William A. and Edna Dobson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as well as the Vietnam War until his retirement in 1980 at the rank of Master Sergeant. He enjoyed traveling to Germany every year and was a loving husband.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Maria Dobson of Columbus; two sisters, Ruth Keebler of Opelika, AL and Betty Clack of Dadeville, AL and several nieces and nephews.
