Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 21, 2012 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with a family committal service Monday January 23,2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday January 20, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Duncan was born April 25, 1937 in Ozata-son, Okinawa, daughter of the late Moto Tamashiro and Kamado Kolnatsu Tamashiro. Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy (Peter) Duncan Neugebauer of Munich, Germany, her son, Will (Angie) Duncan of Columbus, her half brother, Takeshi Chenin of Naha City, Okinawa, 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Duncan, Natalie Neugebauer and Lauren Duncan.
