Virginia M. Hutchinson

Virginia M. Hutchinson, age 89, resident of Columbus, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Saturday, February 12, 2012, 11 a.m. with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. Private entombment will follow at Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum, Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday, February 12, 2012 from 9-11 a.m. Mrs. Hutchinson, daughter of the late Clyde Patterson and Mamie Murphree Patterson, was born August 12, 1922 in Cullman, AL. She was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church and retired from Municipal Court for the City of Columbus where she faithfully served for over 20 years. Mrs. Hutchinson was the state of Georgia Past Grand Matron, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Hutchinson, Sr. Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by one daughter, Victoria Hutchinson of Columbus; two sons, James C. Hutchins, Jr and his wife Joyce of Talladega, AL and Ronnie Hutchinson and his wife Revhia of Merritt Island, FL; one sister, Julie Ennis of Columbus; one granddaughter, Shellie Leadbetter of Merritt Island, FL; two grandsons, Mark Willet of Columbus and Churck Hutchinson of Auburn, AL; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
