Barbara and Family, Know my thoughts and prayers have been with you during this time. As your roommate at Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing I remember so clearly how your mom would write to you weekly---she did an wonderful job of keeping in touch with you and encouraging you as you pursued your dream to become a nurse. Your mom had many wonderful attributes you inherited---she cherished you just as you have cherished your children and grandchildren. I know she must have really enjoyed being a grandmother and a Great Grandmother!!  She loved the Lord, and guided you as you learned to love the Lord---I know Barbara, that she was so proud of you to use the talents that the  blessed you with to sing in the Choir in your church and in the Chorus as GBH.  Larry and I were grateful when you agreed to sing at our wedding many years ago. Your mother loved the Lord, and is in his arms now. Carol J. Cowart Sapp

I was very sorry to hear of the recent loss of your mother. I know she will be much missed by you as well as by Cindy and Richard.

My deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time.  I was the  music director at Porter Memorial while Brother Tarno and Ginny served there.  I'll never forget what a great team they were and the talents they were always so willing to share. What beautiful voices ! I have such fond memories of this special couple. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

I met Mrs Tarno at Calvary Assisted Living.  She share a dining table with my Aunt.  She was such a gentle, kind,  sweet lady.

Although we can't be with you while you remember your loved one, you're in our thoughts from afar.

So sorry for your loss and know you will miss your mother, but feel blessed to know there will someday be a grand reunion.  Your parents had great influence on my parents Elmo & Arva Dell (McCoy) Tahran when they were all young and lived in Jamestown, ND. I'm sure dad and my grandparents were greeters when your folks arrived in heaven. I can only imagine the singing they are enjoying.

To the Tarno family: I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a very dear friend who was in my Sunday School Class for many years, until she was no longer able to come. We sang in the Senior Adult choir together. We just greatly enjoyed each other's company. I will certainly miss my dear friend, but I know she is enjoying a Heavenly reunion with Brother Tarno right now.

To all in the Tarno family:  Chuck and I always are amazed when we think of the many, many, many wonderful Christian friends the Lord allows our paths to cross in our earthly pilgrimages.  This is certainly true of your parents and all of you.  It isn't easy to give up your Mother. Chuck and I have been there where you are now.   Praise the Lord "the best is yet to come" when we all meet in our Heavenly Home. Dear Steve and Debbie,   So sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I know how precious our mothers are! I hope your memories will comfort you in the days ahead.

Mrs. Ginny was a dear, sweet, special friend and I treasured her friendship.  We became close when we started riding together to choir practice at Beallwood Baptist Church several years ago and the friendship continued and grew into something very special.  She told me once that I felt like the sister she never had so we decided that we would become "Sisters of the Heart".  I will miss her sweet smile and the long visits we had as often as we could get together but I know she is now in her heavenly home with her Savior and Mr. Warren.  I love  you, Mrs. Ginny and will see you again in heaven some day.

I met Mrs. Tarno many times when I was in college with her daughter, Barbara, and again at Barbara and Jerry's wedding many years ago.  I've heard about her since then through Barbara. She was a sweet, elegant, lady  and a kind Christian woman, all attributes she instilled in her daughter, Barbara, my friend. Danny and I are praying for Barbara and family.

Mrs. Tarno was such a sweet lady.  I met her at the Gardens of Calvary where her and my mother were both residents.  My mother and her sat at the same meal table for awhile and had wonderful conversations during their meals.  I was honored to have met her.

Dear Steve and family---------Your mother was a lovely lady, and we knew her well when Bro. Tarno was minister of Oswichee Baptist Church in Fort Mitchell.  Bro.Tarno had been a tough army sergeant and was later called to the ministry where he served with kindness and distinction with Virginia by his side.  We will remember them in friendship, and with admiration and respect.
