Virginia Craig Webb

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 11, 2010 , in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder of The First Baptist Church of Columbus officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of her Agape Sunday School Class of The First Baptist Church of Columbus according to Striffler – Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road.

Mrs. Webb was born October 21,1917 in Anderson,S.C. the daughter of the late James Hagood, Sr. and Lucy Barton Craig. Mrs. Webb was a member of The First Baptist Church of Columbus where she taught Sunday School for more than 70 years ,she currently was teaching the Agape Sunday School Class. Mrs.Webb was a former Youth Director and assistant to the pastor of First Baptist Church. She was preceeded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Henry Webb.

Survivors include four nieces : Betty Newman of Nashville, TN, Dorothy Sanders,of Walton,KY.Jean O’Kelley and Debby Whatley both of Columbus,GA.; Several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews . In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 212 12th Street, Columbus, GA 31901.
