Walter Alvin Langford

A celebration of Walter’s life will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 9, 2021 At Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA with Dr. Tim Jones officiating. Interment will be in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Walter was born July 14, 1964 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Henry Earl and Eleanor June Newman Langford. He graduated from Hardaway High School in 1982 and was the owner of Country Financial-The Langford Agency. Walter took care of his client’s needs to the fullest. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Walter was a grilling expert, and always had some sort of “sweet treats” available. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching old westerns. Walter loved his family, especially his mother, June, son, Wesley and his dog, AJ. We will miss his presence daily; however, his words of encouragement will live forever in our hearts.

In addition to his parents, a stepbrother, Earl Langford, preceded Walter in death.

Survivors include his son, Wesley Langford and his wife, Summer; Sherry Langford; friend, Candice Mattison; two sisters, Nadine Djukich and Pam Candlin; two aunts, Debbie Carmack and Faye Sykes; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
