Walter Wayne Nunley

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Walter Wayne Nunley, 57, of Smiths Station, AL, passed away suddenly at home June 9, 2016. He was born July 28, 1958 in Regensburg, Germany to his late parents Otis and Vida Nunley. Wayne was an avid video game player who collected games and comic books. He was a former Security Guard at Tollson Lumber Co. in Preston, GA. Wayne loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will have a visitation Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm in The Linwood Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA; followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment is private.

Along with his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, Clay Nunley. He is survived by; one son, Nicholas Nunley of Macon, GA; two daughters, Candice Gossett of Smiths Station, AL, and Rachel Nunley of Lagrange, GA; two brothers, Glen Nunley of Albany, GA, and Jamie Nunley of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren, Justyn Gossett, Jordyn Gossett, Nash Elkin, Noah Nunley, Aybree Nunley, Nathan Nunley, and Aiden Lunsford; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
