Wanda Conley, age 68, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. In keeping with efforts to assure the safety and health of our community during the current virus pandemic, the family will hold a private graveside service for Wanda. Striffler-Hamby will live stream the service on our Facebook page at 11:00 am EST.
Wanda was born August 16, 1951 in Montgomery, AL to Imogene Cain Lewis and John Thomas Lewis, Jr. She had a B.A. from Troy State University, retired as a Lieutenant with Muscogee County Sheriff's Department and was employed as a fraud investigator for Aflac. Wanda was a very private person, yet outgoing and personable. She enjoyed her grandchildren and being involved in their activities. She taught by example to be humble, honest, compassionate and how to love. Wanda was a very strong person that always found the good in everyone and will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
Wanda’s parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Mark Conley; daughter, Stacey Pine (Jim); granddaughters, Katie and Abby Pine; grandson, Alex Pine; sisters, Berniece Morris and Janice Holt; brothers, Jerry Lewis and Rodney Lewis; other family members and many friends to cherish her memory.
