

Warren Hansel Drummond, age 90, passed away on April 20, 2012. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Private burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, beginning at 1:00 PM until service time on Monday.
Mr. Drummond was born December 2, 1921 to the late Willie James and Ida Drummond in Jasper, AL. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Drummond was the owner of Aircraft Instrument Company in Birmingham, Alabama for over 20 years which was donated to the Southern Aviation Museum after his retirement. He served proudly as a veteran of the US Navy during WWII from February 16, 1942 until honorably discharged on October 7, 1945.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Gladys Joy Drummond; three children, Norman Hansel (Connie) Drummond, June Evelyn (Don) Wilhite and Santha Marie (Ken) Dunn; six grandchildren, Donna June (Joe) Waller, David (Amber) Wilhite, Rachel (Corey) Reynolds, Monica (Ben) Pierce, Daniel Drummond and Lee Dunn; eight great-grandchildren, Daniel & Rebekah Waller, Charlie & Rena Evelyn Wilhite, Hannah, Lydia, Elizabeth and Mary Reynolds; brothers, Perry (Bobbie) Drummond and Glenn (CeeCee) Drummond; sisters, Lynette Freeman and Vanelle Drummond and numerous nieces and nephews.
