Wesley Fowler Kiggins, age 27, of Columbus, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, in Jackson, WY. A funeral mass will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Columbus. Wesley was born September 15, 1989 in Columbus the son of Dr. Christopher M. and Sheila H. Kiggins. He was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was an Altar Server. Wesley graduated from Brookstone School with honors, both academic and athletic. Being a captain of the Brookstone Cougars football team was one of his greatest joys. He attended the University of Georgia where he was a member of the SAE Fraternity. Wesley graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Geochemistry.
Wesley excelled at it all! He was an athlete, lover of the outdoors, birdwatcher, expert snowboarder, wake boarder, fly fishing guide, rafting guide and golfer. Wesley was a big guy with an even bigger heart; he loved his family, especially his brothers, his friends and his beloved dog, “Scout”.
Wesley is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Christopher M. Kiggins; his brother Matthew Hill Kiggins and sister- in- law Jessica C. Kiggins, and their son, Matthew Hill "Mills" Kiggins, Jr.; his brother, Tyler Bridges Kiggins and Kate Amore; his grandmother Dorothy Palmer Kiggins; his great aunt Katharine A. Kimbrough; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Wesley is predeceased by his grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Edgar B. Horn, Mr. Donald Kiggins, and his uncle Edgar Bridges Horn, Jr.
