

He was born on June 1, 1924 in Hermosa Beach, California to the late William H. Edmundson and Eula Robinson Edmundson. Mr. Edmundson is a veteran of the Merchant Marines, now the U.S. Coast Guard, in which he served during WWII, for several years after graduating from High School. He was married to the late Mary Alice Young Edmundson and they lived most of their lives in Louisiana where he worked for the Illinois Central Rail Road as a Switchman for 35 years. Mr. Edmundson was active in the Golden Agers, and while in Louisiana the Keen Agers of First United Methodist Church of Metairie, Louisiana. He was also preceded in death by his son, Steve H. Edmundson. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. W.K. “Ken” leaves his son William K. “Billy” Edmundson, Jr. and his wife Susan; his grandchildren, Chad Edmundson and his wife Heather, Adam Edmundson, and Colby Edmundson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives to cherish his loving memory.
Graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery at the Chapel of Pines Mausoleum. Family will visit with friends one hour before the service at Chapel of Pines Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers Please make memorial donations to Columbus Hospice at www.columbushospice.com
