Willie Paul McKinnon

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. McKinnon will be held at Striffler-Hamby in the Edgewood Hall on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Udell Addison officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00pm in the St. Elmo room at Striffler-Hamby.

Willie Paul McKinnon was born on November 16, 1927 to the late Ruby Odel and Ernest Willie McKinnon in Randolph County Georgia. He joined the U.S. Navy faithfully serving his country. Mr. McKinnon was retired from Columbus State University, he had lived in Columbus all of his life. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Sarah Voncile McKinnon.

Survivors include his daughters: Sonia Anderson of Opp, Alabama, Debra Faye Ogden of Columbus, and Janet (Danny) Cariel of Winter Springs, Florida; sons: Phillip (Barbara) McKinnon and Jesse (Annette) McKinnon both of Columbus; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
