Zuiko (June) Montgomery, 81, passed away Saturday July 6, 2013, at the Green House One of Calvary in Columbus, GA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Montgomery was born September 9, 1933, in Fukuoka, Japan to the late Yasusi and Sumi Sakakura. She was a homemaker and a loving grandmother who devoted her later years to her beautiful grandchildren. Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband Horace Neil Montgomery and a daughter Dorothy Marie Montgomery.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathryn Griffin (Robert) and Rena Wilson (Richard); five grandchildren, Rebecca Griffin, Phebe Griffin Birdsong, Laura Griffin, Ben Wilson, and Kate Wilson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Green House One of Calvary at 7490 Old Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
The family of Mrs. Montgomery would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers of the Green House One for all of the love and care provided to their mother.
