Funeral Services for Mrs. Turrentine will be Monday, September 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Columbus with Reverend Charles Hays officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Zula M. Turrentine was born September 9, 1935 in Hartselle, Alabama to the late Hattie Mae and Herman Lee McCormick. She was a member of Edgewood Assembly of God where she was involved in the ladies ministry. Zula loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she also loved her family dearly and her church family. She retired from Bibb Mills where she worked for many years as a weaver. Zula is predeceased by a sister Opal Johnson.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James “Will” Turrentine; daughter, Jamie Cutright and her husband Jerry; brother, Almon “Dick” McCormick and his wife Blanche; grandsons, James Cutright and his fiancé Sasha, Joshua Cutright and his fiancé Allie; great-granddaughter, Anna Marie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
